Known for his warm personality and deep local knowledge, Walter Akella Temba hails from Mugumu in Serengeti District, Mara region. He completed his education in Serengeti before advancing his studies at the Tropical Institute in Arusha, earning both a certificate and diploma in tour guiding and wildlife. Walter’s career has seen him work with various tour companies, and he is now thrilled to be part of Babji Tours. With a lifelong passion for travel and meeting people from around the world, Walter is dedicated to becoming one of Tanzania’s top tour guides, committed to delivering exceptional experiences and sharing his love for the region with every visitor.

James Felix Mdee, born and raised in Arusha, Tanzania, has always been captivated by the breathtaking landscapes and wildlife of his homeland. This passion led him to become a dedicated ambassador for Tanzania’s natural wonders. After studying at Mount Meru Tour Guide and International Language Schools with a focus on mammals, insects, birds, reptiles, and botany, James now brings his expertise to Babji Tours. With a commitment to sharing rich insights about Tanzania's national parks, James is excited to offer exceptional experiences to visitors. He is also deeply involved in conservation efforts and promotes sustainable tourism, ensuring that future generations can continue to marvel at Tanzania’s incredible natural heritage.

Muridy Sandewa, born in Arusha, Tanzania, has been passionate about wildlife and safari guiding since a young age. Inspired by a nearby safari driver, Muridy spent his childhood helping with safari vehicles and dreaming of exploring the wilderness. After completing secondary school, he began his journey as a porter on Mount Kilimanjaro and later pursued formal training at the College of African Wildlife Management, earning a certificate in Wildlife and Tourism Management. Muridy is now an integral part of the Babji Tours team, where he shares his deep knowledge and love for Tanzania’s wildlife with both national and international visitors. With a long career in safari guiding and a new passion for wildlife photography, Muridy is dedicated to protecting and promoting the natural world.

Born and raised in Arusha, Richard's passion for tourism was inspired by his father’s career in the industry. After completing his education locally, he joined Babji Tours and Safaris in 2024. With a deep love for travel, nature, and cultural exploration, Richard crafts memorable adventures that showcase Tanzania's stunning landscapes and rich heritage. As a strong advocate for sustainable tourism, he is committed to balancing exploration with environmental and community preservation, ensuring that Tanzania's treasures is preserved for future generations.

A local Tanzania and brought up the northern part of Tanzania, a small village Mto wa Mbu near the Lake Manyara National Park. Being at the doorstep of the national park he built his interest in wildlife and bird watching. He was inspired by the nature to pursue his career as a safari guide. He is in the tourism industry since 1996.he has travelled to mostly all part of Tanzania and has experience and vast knowledge about nature and our beautiful country. Bird watching is his passion and he knows of about 300 and more species of birds

A local Tanzania with Maasai Origins, Emmanuel is known by his family name – Kivuyo by all those who know him. He was a cook before he became a safari Guide. He was a head chief in hotels and mobile camps in the parks, He was often impressed by other safari guides narrating their experience and seeing them with the tourist. This motivated him to become a safari guide himself. He pursued a career in safari guide and paid for this collage fees from the money earned from his cooking profession. He loves the wildlife but has an extra passion for the baboons as he finds them to be active always. He has been profession since 2004. Being a maasi, the tribe that lives with the wild, eating wild meat is a taboo for them. He believes that this is how his tribe and himself preserve and protect the wildlife.

Born and brought up in Arusha, with Asian origins Hussein loves the Wilderness. He is a co-founder of the Company. He aims for Perfection and settles for excellence. Born in Arusha, the hub of Safari Parks, wildlife and nature run in his blood. He pursued aviation for bush flying but gave up his career to live his dream of conserving and sharing the wild and its adventures with the world in form of a Safari. Safety and precision are his top priorities for each safari. From car checkup and maintenance to Government taxes and fees. He has a total of 13 years of experience in the Tourism Industry.

Born and brought up in Tanga, (coastal town of Tanzania) of Asian origins, He is THE team's expert Travel specialist with almost 25 years of field experience. He is also known as memory maker, magician, life changer and often heartwarmingly full of humor friend. He doesn’t just get to know your wishes, but often preempts them, and is able to tailor make a safari specifically suited for each individual’s need. He will never send you to a destination or property that he himself or he hasn’t been to themselves. A local Tanzanian with Mpare origins, Felix was born and brought up in Arusha. When he was a child, he had a special interest in animals and there was a game sanctuary near his home, in which he spent most of his holidays, watching the wildlife. His childhood fascination and love for wildlife inspired him to pursue Safari Guiding as a profession. Since then there was no going back and he is now in the field for more than 20 years. His favorite animal is a Cheetah and he will never forget seeing a Leopard kill a Cheetah in Serengeti—his favorite National Park. He believes sharing his knowledge of the wild is a way to preserve and protect the wildlife.
