Tour Plan

A smiling face will be waiting for you at the Arrival in Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) which is about 50Km away from Arusha city. Your Safari guide will then transfer you to your accommodation for a relaxing dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, you will proceed towards Lake Manyara National Park with lunch hampers to enjoy in the park. The Park is an unexpected Oasis of Tropical ground forest, nestled deep at the foot of the western escarpment that looms over the Great African Rift Valley. The eponymous lake is a shallow alkaline lake, one of the many that bejewel the Rift Valley supporting vast flocks of flamingo that daub pink swathes across the African Horizon at sunset.

The think clumps of rainforest that border the lake harbor an exotic kaleidoscope of birds and monkeys, the dense canopy alive with the chatter and squawks of the tropical menagerie.

Break for a picnic lunch in one of the picnic sites in the park, while enjoying the amazing Lake shore and the wilderness. Continue with the game drive in the afternoon, before dinner and an overnight rest in one of the exquisite lodges of Karatu.

Add a cultural visit of an indigenous tribe for an extraordinary experience.
Add a night game drive for an amazing experience.

The Day will begin with a late and relaxed breakfast before heading towards the Ngorongoro highlands, gaining your first view of this incredible natural wonder.

The Ngorongoro Conservation area is a pioneering experiment where the indigenous people (the Masai), their livestock and the wildlife co-exist and share the same protected habitat. It is not unusual to see the Masai people grazing their herds in the morning or afternoon in the vicinity of the crater. You may spend the rest of the morning trekking with your family to the Empakai Crater with a trained and experienced ranger, exploring and photographing the wilderness on foot. Have a late picnic lunch at the floor of the Empakai Crater. Return to the Lodge for a relaxed evening and sun-downer before Dinner and overnight on the Crater rim.

On the second day, starting at the golden light you will descend into the caldera for a day of game viewing taking breakfast hampers to enjoy on the crater floor. The stunning spectacle of this Unesco World Heritage site, with its steep walls falling some 610m to the floor, it is undoubtedly one of the highlights of a safari in Tanzania. The conservation area is a home of over 500 bird species ranging from endemic species, migratory and forest birds which make it one of the best birding destinations in Tanzania. Ascend to the rim and to your accommodation for a sumptuous hot lunch. Spend the rest of the afternoon at leisure.

Add a trekking experience in to the Empakai Crater

Add a bush lunch in a private picnic site on the crater floor for an extraordinary experience.

Today you will head to THE SERENGETI (Africa’s leading national park for three consecutive years 2019-2021), Serengeti means “endless plains” in Ki-Maasai. Pass the Olduvai Gorge located between Lake Natron and Lake Eyasi, the gorge is an archeological site of immense importance, before finally descending 300ft into the volcanic Serengeti plains, your home for the next four days.

Follow the daily movements of the herds in their search for fresh grazing, the predators abound and search for those secretive species, like leopards, as well as the more visible species, like lions in these four days. Expect to see frequent kills and also experience the assemblage of peripheral animals such as vultures, jackals and hyenas who wait patiently to claim their share of this abundance, and so much more at yours and your family’s discretion.

Spend the rest of the days exploring the Serengeti at your own pace and time. You may take breakfast hampers prepared for you at the lodge and drive back to the lodge for a hot sumptuous meal, or have a late relaxed breakfast and proceed for game drives with picnic hampers. Spend the afternoon at your leisure and depart for an evening game drive and sun downer.

Add a balloon safari over the Serengeti for an extraordinary experience.
