DAY BY DAY
On Arrival at Julius Nyerere International Airport (DAR) you will be met and assisted for the transfer to domestic terminal for your flight to Nyerere National Park (Selous).
At Selous Airstrip you will be welcomed with a bouquet of flowers and will be taken for a sundowner for a very first experience of the Tanzanian sky and wilderness. Thereafter you will be taken to your accommodation for a romantic candle lit dinner and a relaxing night.
These following two days will give you the opportunity to explore Tanzanias least known yet wildest National Park. Here you will enjoy private game drives, either on the open vehicles, on foot or by boat, giving you that immense privacy and intimacy much needed for a memorable honeymoon.
Enjoy the picnic hampers at one of the park’s private picnic areas, with an amazing view and make your romantic memories or decide to return for hot meals at your camp.
The afternoons can be spent on the Rufiji river, which offers one of the finest boating safaris and has a huge population of hippos and crocodiles.
To end the day enjoy the sundowners on the sandy river banks.
Add a night game drive or a walking safari for an extraordinary romantic experience!
Today, after a late and relaxed breakfast, you will be transferred to a bush airstrip for a scenic and short flight to Ruaha National Park. Prepare yourself for exquisite scenery of the Park with incredible display of rolling hills, open plains and very appealing baobab trees.
After lunch, you can have downtime relaxing and preparing yourself to explore the wild park in the afternoon.
Ruaha is a paradise for predators as well as a hidden gem. Cheetahs can often be seen hunting on the open savannah, and Leopard sightings are unusually common.
The Lion prides are not only numerous and healthy, but unusually large. It is one of the last major protected areas for African wild dog population .
It being an “off the beaten track destination” gives you all the time by yourself and total privacy!
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Ruaha Airstrip in for your flight to Zanzibar. There is nothing more enchanting for honeymooners than a Beach! Time for “The Sun, The Sand and The Sea”.
Whether it’s a quick cultural fix you’re after, or scintillating diving, or just palm lined beach where you can laze away the day, a few days on the island is the perfect way to conclude your honeymoon.
The highlights of a stay in Zanzibar is the old Stone town with its traditional Swahili atmosphere and wealth of fascinating buildings, the sea and the coral reefs, which offer diving, snorkeling and game fishing, the cloves and coconut plantations that cover the interior of the spice island, the dolphins of kisimkazi, the colobus monkeys of Jozani and the giant sea turtles of Nungwi.
You can choose to spend your time here by simply sunbathing on the pure white sandy beaches and getting a beautiful tan, or getting active with beach activities or have relaxing massages by the beach.
The evenings can be spent on a sundowner dhow ride or by just sitting on the beach watching the glamorous sunset over the sea horizon as well as enjoying a traditional Swahili meal.
Today, being the finale of the 9 romantic days spent together with the love of your life, you will be transferred to Zanzibars International Airport, in time for your flight back home.
